Commercial office space in Birmingham taken up by government organisation

The government organisation Highways Agency who is responsible for monitoring the UK’s roads, has signed up for almost half of the Cube’s Rent office space office spaceoffice space in Rent Birmingham office spaceBirmingham.

The Cube hasn’t been far away from controversy since its inception, it has suffered setbacks such as disputes with contractors.

It is mainly thanks to PricewaterhouseCoopers that the building will be scheduled for completion at the end of the month. It will have 23 floors with a total of 115,000 square feet of accommodation, retail and grade A office space. It is expected to be very attractive to tenants needing an office in Birmingham.

It has a feature that really helps it to stand out, which is in the shape of a roof made entirely of glass. It was created with 666 glass panels and will be home to Birmingham’s first panoramic rooftop restaurant.

Director of BuildAbilty, Neil Edgington said of the development, “It’s a really important building for Birmingham. The Mailbox was a refurbishment of the old post office, but this is a new build.”

The Cube hasn’t been far from news, with the most humorous being when work had to be halted as a Canadian goose had decided to make a nest and call the building his home back in May.
