Central London Office space giant, Derwent, bagged a £17mn deal with a private investor. They announced their deal over the Dorset Square workspace, which had been remodeled recently by the McAslan + Partners. The entire four storey building houses a total of 23,500 sq ft of office and commercial space.
This sale near the Marylebone station is one of the major prime location handovers, by Derwent, and is worth 5% premium to December 2008’s evaluation of the
office space. It also includes a building from Boston Place along with the Dorset Square workplace.
Although the value for the
office space take-up drooped by over 50% in 2008, a current survey shows rise in the rental values among the prime locations. The fact that some of the office space was not completely serviced by last year, owing to low availability, helped in piling up the demand for premium office space.
The current rental for such work space is around £29.5 per sq ft, but the growing urgency may well lift it above £30 per sq ft. It seems

With the Evesham Basepoint Business Centre due to open this coming April, people have started taking up their own

The plans to develop 900,000 sq ft of business space before the London Olympic and Paralympics games, is far reaching than it seems. This upcoming venture would create thousands of new jobs before 2012. Mainly aimed to support photographers, broadcasters and journalists, the office spaces would help others too.
Major workspace is coming up for the International Broadcast Centre, having 29000 sq m of totally Green
office space. The Main Press Centre can be looked upon for another 8000 sq m of office space spanning over five stories. Moreover, this Legacy Masterplan Framework is sure to get more jobs with the upcoming office space, even after the games.
Serviced office company Forsyth, who are part of the Scarborough Development Group, have hired the services of Plough creative. The company have been brought in to help to construct a template for the company newsletter as well as assisting with the company news network.

Bruce Robertson from Toogoods said that obtaining a quote was a very straight forward process – there are no long forms to complete and companies can get a quotation within a few minutes.
It will be interesting to see how many of their clients take up this service and whether it will be replicated by other providers.
The Tiger Developments has planned to utilise the Haymarket region of Edinburgh at the estimated expense of £250 million. Their plans for the development include the idea of building 342,000 sq ft of
office space in this region, adjoined by a Boulevard.
This development would not only be an expansion for the existing Exchange financial district, but the office space would also play a major role in the future economic growth of the city. The entire project may promise up to 1,600 jobs after its completion, with surrounding growth taken into account.
It has been estimated that Serviced
Office Space only represents around 5% of all office workspace in the UK. For larger, establish corporates you can why they would want their own building. But considering their are four million small businesses in the UK, how come this figure appears to be so low. I am wondering whether there is still a misconception over what a serviced office actually are and how much they cost. Do people see perceive them as expensive or is it simply a case that they are not aware that they are an option? Do business owners go directly to an office agent much like you would go direct to an estate agent for a residential property?
