Private wealth management firm Cheviot Asset Management have confirmed they have taken nearly 3,000 sq ft of office space at 5 St Paul’s Square in Liverpool.
The firm will take a total of 290,000 sq ft on a ten year lease at a cost of £18.50 per sq ft and will join a host of other tenants in the Standard Life building including DWF and Edward Symmons. The office will be Cheviot Asset Management’s first office outside of the capital and marks a major letting for the commercial property in Liverpool city centre. (more…)

office space on a 10 year lease in the heart of
Manchester city centre.
Salford-based private property investor Sacco Mann has become the latest tenant to sign up for office space in the Spinningfields district of Manchester.
The Salford-based firm have confirmed they have signed up for 1,784 sq ft of office space in Ventnor’s Vantage Point building in the middle of Manchester. Sacco Mann will take the space on the 6th floor on a 10 year lease at an estimated cost of £28.50 per sq ft. It’s thought the company will relocate from office space in Peter House on Oxford Road to the new property later this year. (more…)

The specialist market development company Lead Creators have announced they have relocated to new office space in Liverpool Science Park.
The move from Liverpool’s Exchange Flags to 1,800 sq ft of office space in the city’s science park ties in with the firm’s plans to expand by over 200% before the end of the year. The announcement means Lead Creators will join a number of other high profile tenants such as BioEden, Arc and CLRN in the contemporary science park which attracted 22 new companies within its first 12 months of opening in 2006. London & Bath Estates and Galliard have submitted revised plans for the controversial Chiswick ‘Octopus’ office space scheme this week.
Plans for the W4 scheme, which is set to deliver 52,000 sq ft of new Grade A office space to the city, were turned down last year after Hounslow Borough Council decided the eye-catching advertising space on the side of the building was a potential road safety risk. (more…)
Burnley office staff will have to travel to Skipton after the closure of their workspace.
More HML employees will begin working in Skipton once their offices close down.
Lender Homeloan Management Ltd (HML) is planning to expand its Skipton base due to the closure of one of its Burnley offices in Lancashire.
The firm’s Padiham office, which employs almost 300 people, is due to close this September – about half of the staff will relocate to the Skipton offices, in Gateway House on Gargrave Road, and the rest will be made redundant. (more…)
10 South Parade wins award for redesign.
The 10 South Parade offices in Leeds have been awarded the BCO Refurbished/Recycled Workplace award. The BCO award is recognition for the renovation and environmental work that has been carried out on the building. The awards were announced for North Wales, North England and North Ireland on the 17th May.
The Leeds offices were refurbished in an ambitious scheme to drag the property out of the state it had been in since the 1970s. 10 South Parade is now classed as Grade A office space and is one of the most sought after office locations in the centre of Leeds. (more…)

New survey reveals that the West Midlands has seen a rise in office space demand.
Demand for commercial office space in the West Midlands has risen strongly during the first quarter of 2011. According to statistics gathered by RICS UK Commercial Market office space in the area has been in high demand during the beginning of 2011.
13% of surveyors in the West Midlands said they had seen increases rather than falls in demand for commercial property. This is a huge improvement when compared with the three months prior.
