Studio Liddell leases new space in Manchester commercial property.
Online advertising, animation and creative agency Studio Lidell has leased new high quality office space in the city of Manchester. The company already occupied around 3000 square feet in the offices located in the Fairbairn Buildings on Sackville Street. Studio Lidell say the reasoning behind the move is rapid company growth and the need for additional space for employees.
The agency have leased a further 1000 square feet in the high quality Fairbairn offices. This takes the total amount of space that the company occupies up to 4000 square feet with room to lease even more in the future. The Fairbairn Buildings are currently owned by the Property Alliance Group, the company acquired the offices from the University of Manchester in 2007. (more…)

The i2, Leeds’ newest office building, has officially opened its doors with a 22% occupancy rate. The building has several new clients already signed up and is nearly a quarter full in its first month of opening. Eco-friendly renewable energy company Go Greena were officially one of the first tenants to sign up for space in the Leeds business centre. Other tenants include IT solutions provider Alscient Lt who currently provide services for Eco Estates.

Experts have warned officials in Cambridge that they need to invest in more commercial property developments in the city centre if they want to retain their reputation as a global business hub. With a number of high profile firms based in the city centre and with their famous science and technology centres almost full to capacity, there are fears demand for Cambridge office space might outstrip supply if a solution is not found soon.
Despite the Cambridge office space market continuing to flourish while other cities struggled, there are now fears that this steady demand could cause the city to miss out on important tenants due to a lack of new space. Currently rents around the station area stand at a record £30.40 per sq ft and there is limited available office space within the Cambridge Science Park. (more…)
New expansion by existing tenants means Liverpool Innovation Park’s Baird House has reached 100% occupancy.
Increased demand by current tenants means the business centre on the Edge Lane Campus in Liverpool is now completely full.
Liverpool Innovation Park‘s Baird House has reached 100% occupancy after a host of current tenants agreed to take more space within the complex on the Edge Lane Campus. Expansion plans by existing tenants including games firm Spiral House and technology company Crosby Systems mean the 33,000 sq ft refurbished property is now fully let.
Home to 25 businesses, Baird House offers high quality
office space over three floors and is set in landscaped grounds within the former Marconi HQ site. The park’s innovation manager Dr Mark Tock believes it is the centre’s flexible approach to expansion that has encouraged a host of tenants to take on extra space within Baird House. (more…)
Proposed Peterborough offices to create jobs.
New offices in the region could create around 350 new jobs.
New plans have been put forward to Peterborough Council to redevelop a site in the town into high quality
office space and potentially create around 350 jobs. The proposal was put together by IT specialists Kelway Ltd which hopes to create a 3 storey office building that has the potential for attracting new business and creating new job positions. The new offices would be located at Phorpres Way in Cygnet Park, Hampton.
If the development does go ahead then it will potentially create 3,000 square metres of office space and would initially create 150 jobs with the potential to create 350 in the long term. The application was put together by John Dadge, an expert from the planning and development department of property agents Barker Storey Matthews. (more…)
Record office leasing deal for Bruntwood in Liverpool.

Property and office specialist Bruntwood has signed the biggest letting of
office space in the North West for 2011. The contract was exchanged with law firm Weightmans for 94,000 square feet of office space at the Plaza, Liverpool. The deal is the largest to be seen in the UK all year and has attracted a lot of attention from the commercial property sector. The lease is a long term 15 year contract and will see the company take charge of some of the highest quality office space in Liverpool.
The deal is also one of the largest ever for Bruntwood not the mention the largest private sector lease in Liverpool for an astonishing six years. Over the past eight years Bruntwood has invested a huge £24 million into the Plaza including the £2.4 million reception entrance that was subsequently relocated to St Paul’s Square. (more…)
Warrington Business Park near to completion.
New mixed use space to be based in Warrington.
It has been announced that a new conference centre will be constructed and developed at MEPC Birchwood business park in Warrington,
Manchester. Once completed the site will be one of the only business parks in the entire region to feature an on-site conference facility. The development has already attracted some interest from large companies and corporations including the Department for Work and Pensions, Serco, and Electricity North West.
The development will provide 50,000 square feet of
office space and will be based just off Faraday Street. The location is renowned locally for being close to a neighbouring lake. Overall the office space is expected to cost £1.2 million before its completion which is expected later next month. Bruntwood’s 14 King Street in Leeds has reached full occupancy following a series of recent leasing deals. The commercial property lies in the centre of the business district and offers easy access to the city and clients. Bruntwood acquired the building in 2007 and they instantly carried out an extensive redevelopment. The Leeds offices were then put back on the market in 2008.
The most recent rental contracts include 1,322 square feet to Barton Willmore and 1,507 square feet to 3Volution LLP. Following the success of this development Bruntwood have now turned their attention to another Leeds Landmark, City House. The building is located right in the heart of Leeds and will be redeveloped to provide high quality

Insurance specialists AMB have announced that they are moving from their current
office space in Stone, Staffordshire. The company will be moving to brand new offices in Wolstanton near to Newcastle-Under-Lyme. The new offices will be larger than the firm’s current space and will allow them to expand their workforce.
It is expected that the move will create new jobs in the Newcastle area. The company is expecting to move into the new offices once the restoration and redevelopment is completed later this year. The project has been welcomed by local residents thanks to the employment opportunities it provides. Including the jobs created on the construction and redevelopment team. (more…)
Docklands office marks completion of
London project.
25 Churchill Place development is completed as part of Canary Wharf project.
After well over 20 years of development the Docklands development in London’s Canary Wharf is almost complete. The final project, a 20-storey office tower at 25 Churchill Place, has just finished construction. This was the very last touch to the overall development that has been underway for over two decades.
The new office tower will provide an additional 500,000 square feet of
office space to the area. The site is already half leased with the European Medicines Agency leasing half of the overall space. The Canary Wharf Group is hoping to open the development in 2014, by which it expects to have all of the available space leased. (more…)
