Statistics have revealed that the rate of office space being taken-up in Thames Valley has remained stable over Q4 of 2011.

Office workers that are affected by the revamp of Peterborough’s train station can benefit from temporary office space being placed on the land beside the station to help them to cope with the disruption.

David Cameron has announced the details for a new campaign that will see empty government office space being made available to Small-Medium Enterprises.

Start-up businesses are playing a key role in keeping the demand high for smaller office space in the town.
The Avanta business centre on Duke Street in Reading has seen a number of additional offices being created to cope with a surge in demand.

Research has shown that half of the office space in Birmingham is at grade C level.

Leeds City Centre saw an increase in the amount of office space being taken up in 2011 it has been revealed.
According to the Leeds Agents’ Forum the amount of take-ups increased by 40% on the previous year, with the amount of office space being leased in Q4 rising to 87,050 sq ft. (more…)

Manchester City Centre has decreased.
Figures by the Manchester Office Agent’s Forum state that the City Centre did not perform well, but South Manchester did see a slight increase in take-up.
Office space take-up in Manchester decreased last year and even fell below the 10 year average according to new figures.
The figures, revealed by the Manchester Office Agents Forum (MOAF), stated that just 700,000 sq ft of space was let last year, down 600,000 sq ft from 2010′s figure of 1.3m. (more…)

The empty
office space is said to be costing the taxpayer thousands.
It has been revealed that some government buildings in the UK have been empty for up to 13 years in some cases.
According to the Coalition’s ‘transparency drive’ more than 456,000 sq m of space, spanning 550 sites across the country are vacant including areas of Buckinghamshire. (more…)

Employees are suffering from extended hangovers after going on weekend binges.
A new report has suggested that office workers are suffering from two-day hangovers after binge drinking at the weekend to deal with their workload.
The study outlined that workers start drinking on a Thursday night through to Sunday evening, resulting in longer hangovers that can last until Tuesday afternoon.
