Following almost a month of speculation Dickinson Dees has announced it will be leasing office space in No 1 Whitehall Riverside. The building is one of the most popular office buildings in Leeds and the company has taken a lease for 17,000 square feet of space. The firm have stated that ‘you can’t afford to ignore Leeds’ and claimed that they looked for some time for Grade A office space within the city.
Dickinson Dees has experienced high levels in company growth recently and claims that this is the main reason behind the move. The company saw its turnover reach an astounding £4.5 million and its workforce increase. 52 of the company’s professionals will be moving from the York offices to the new Leeds commercial property within 2011.
Commenting on the firm’s decision to move Dickinson Dees’ managing director, Jonathon Blair, said: “People were saying that a brand like Dickinson Dees had to be in Leeds. We are pleased with the office space we have chosen and it’s a great location that speaks to our brand.”
The company hope to have the entire process complete by 2012 with more office staff expected to move in once the operations are up and running. Dickinson Dees also stated that the move was important to the company’s status and that Leeds was a prime location for improving their commercial profile.
“Our move into one of the top five business and financial cities in the UK will enable us to build further on the significant platform we have established in Yorkshire and help us to implement the strategy we rolled out earlier this year,” commented Mr Blair.
