MAG developments gain more lettings at Manchester Airport

MAG Developments secure six new lettings.

Take up has been seen by various companies across three buildings at Rent Manchester office spaceManchester Airport.

Manchester Airport Group (MAG) have successfully secured six new lettings at Manchester Airport.

The lettings, across three office buildings the 4M building, 308 Avro Way and The World Freight Terminal span a total of 8291 sq ft of Rent office space office spaceoffice space.

Global, transportation and distribution services company, MIQ Logistics, who operate throughout America, Asia and Europe have taken 4,015 sq ft of industrial space at The World Freight Terminal.

Other take-ups include travel retailler, World Duty Free who have let 1,520 sq ft of office space at the 4M building whilst global security firm ICTS have taken 929 sq ft at the  83,000 sq ft site.

MAG Developments Business Development Director, Stephanie Mullenger said:“Enquiry levels continue to remain steady and as demonstrated by this latest round of lettings we are converting a number of enquiries into transactions by providing bespoke deals and flexible terms.

“The Airport sector of the south Manchester market has, and continues to be one of the most active in the region and we feel that this resilience, buoyed by offering of the airport, bodes well for 2012.”

Ms Mullenger also said that Manchester is renowned for being bold and optimistic, and that this is reflected by the number of projects that have and continue to be progressed during one of the worst periods for property development.

MAG Developments are the property and development arm of the Manchester Airports Group and are currently leading the £650m Airport City project, a scheme that was granted enterprise zone status.

Ms Mullenger added: “In April, the benefits of enterprise zone status at the airport come into play, so we will see acceleration in the development of Airport City, which is a phenomenal opportunity to up Manchester’s global pedigree and bring international occupiers to the region, which previously would not have considered locating here.”
