SME’s need to embrace e-marketing and incorporate it as a long term strategy, according a leading online marketing publisher. According to the report, SME’s are finding that online marketing can be much more beneficial as well as being easier to measure in terms on return on investment. Online marketing needs to be joined up with any offline marketing efforts, to create a synergy that will maximize impact.
Chris Lake who wrote the report said that e marketing could help create extra business from existing customers as well as generate new customers. Online marketing can come in many forms for SME’s, there is search engine marketing, PPC and SEO. On top of that there is alsp display advertising and affiliate advertising. Using some or all of these channels in tandem can massively increase brand awareness and online sales. Although these can be perceived as “expensive” merely writing a daily blog is a form of online promotion that can garner more traffic to your website.
A recently survey by YouGov disclosed that over one third of UK SME’s planned to increase spend on marketing in the next 12 months.
