Domino’s Pizza have taken up office space at the Eastgate Shopping Centre in Basildon.
The lease is the company’s first office space lease and they have chosen to open a 1,800 sq. ft. food court unit in the British Land shopping mall in Essex. (more…)
British Land have acquired Grenfell Island – a Maidenhead office development – for £74 million.
The property group have exchanged contracts for the property which comprises of 198,000 sq ft of leisure and
office space in Maidenhead city centre.
Property investment group British Land have this week announced they have purchased a prime office development in Maidenhead town centre for £74 million.
The company have confirmed they have acquired the Greenfell Island development which comprises of 198,000 sq ft of office and retail space. The building consists primarily of 113,000 sq ft of office space – all of which is currently let to Hutchison 3G UK Ltd as the UK headquarters of Hutchison Whampoa Ltd. (more…)
British Land are eying up properties worth £2.5 billion following their first quarterly profits in over 2 years.
Chief Executive, Chris Grigg, said the property company had placed bids worth £500 million for shops and
office space in an attempt to re-build their portfolio. He also said that they would spend another £2 billion on acquiring assets over the next 2 years. British Land’s biggest retail tenants are Sainsburys and Tesco and they now want to invest in more superstores as well as other property outside of it’s usual portfolio. Many believe this is the strongest hint yet that British Land believe the UK property market could be about to recover. (more…)
British Land marked a key milestone in the UK commercial property market this week when they bought an office development in
London‘s West End worth £40.25 million.
It’s the listed building company’s first acquisition since the start of the credit crunch in 2007. They bought 39 Victoria Street from Aviva Investors and the company have said the purchase fits in with their strategy of balancing their office portfolio and increasing their presence in the West End.
