How to help a new office worker settle in
Office staff can play an active role in helping new employees settle in to their new job.
Often the most nerve-wrecking thing in an office can be change, particularly if it relates to a change in personnel.
As nervous as a staff member may be with the thought of a new colleague coming in to work in the office space, it is more likely that the new employee will feel just as nervous, if not more nervous.
While relationships at work may only need to be professional, there is no harm in trying to make the new colleague feel welcome. (more…)
