Nose picking most annoying office habit

Nose picking is the biggest office bugbear for UK workers, according to a recent poll.

Just under 30% of those who participated in the survey, compiled by DealJungle.com, said they find nose picking to be the most annoying office habit followed by nail biting. Smelly co-workers were found to be another source of irritation with 17% of respondents voting body odour as another irksome issue in the workplace.

One out of ten people admitted to being annoyed by colleagues who clear their throat at their desks and those who bring smelly food in for lunch. (more…)

A new study released by the British Council for Offices has revealed that only 20 per cent of office employees work from home, damaging the popular myth that a conventional office is the thing of the past.

The poll carried out by YouGov of 1,000 office workers found that employees greatly value the social benefits that working in a communal space brings.
