Google has acquired yet another office in the UK, the second in London within recent months. The search giant has leased a high quality seven storey office block right in the heart of the infamous Silicon Roundabout in London. The area is one of David Cameron’s favourite pet projects and aims to attract technology companies from around the world. There is a diverse range of tenants in the area but Google are undoubtedly the biggest (with Facebook in a close second).

TThe offices are located on Bonhill Street in East London and  is the second commercial property the company has purchased in n the UK capital. Google also recently acquired Central London offices in order to set up their UK headquarters. The new offices will be used for more creative projects and will also be hosting a series of events to celebrate the opening. (more…)

Facebook to relocate to new office space in London

Facebook has announced plans to relocate its Rent London office spaceLondon base from Soho to Covent Garden.

The social media giant will lease a 36,000 sq ft building in Central London in 2012.

Facebook has announced it will relocate its current London base off Carnaby Street in Soho to Covent Garden in January 2012.

The social networking conglomerate has shunned Shoreditch’s Silicon Roundabout in favour of a 36,000 sq ft listed office property in the heart of Central London. In addition to the relocation of its 70-strong UK advertising sales team, the company is expected to recruit new staff as part of the expansion in the next 12 months. (more…)
