Smaller offices prove to be more productive and happier
According to a study of Swiss offices, the larger the office, the more complaints and shortfalls are observed.
The study was carried out from March to April of 2009 by Swiss State Secretariat for Finance and the Lucern School of Business, focusing on 125 companies and 1,230 employees.
Fluctuations in office temperature, intrusive background noise, stale air, humidity, draftiness and ineffective lighting make up just some of the reasons that a larger office can be a disadvantage.
