Yorkshire finance company chooses Barnsley for headquarters
Capitol Park, Barnsley, is to be the new headquarters for the company ‘Finance Yorkshire’.
Finance Yorkshire, a £90 million fund, was developed to support Yorkshire and Humberside businesses by offering investments ranging from £15,000 to £2 million.
The finance company will be signing a 10-year lease for 4,200 sq-ft of office space in Capitol Court, Barnsley.
Finance Yorkshire is thought to become a significant part of Capitol Park, by helping to establish the park as a reputable business park.
Martin Croxen, chief executive for the development of Capitol Park, has said, “We are delighted that Finance Yorkshire has decided to take space within one Capitol Court.
This is a ringing endorsement of Capitol Park, which is now proving to be a very popular business location for quality businesses.”
The Park is also set to include a hotel, a pub, retail facilities and industrial and office space.
These additional facilities should potentially bring additional customers to the park, and if so Finance Yorkshire are set to be in a prime location.
Mr Croxen said that in the past his company has proven they can create highly successful business parks and he is delighted that Capitol Park is proving to be just as successful.
Tim Bottrill, of Knight Frank estate agents, said, “There is still 6,000 sq ft of quality office available in Capitol Park, which should prove very attractive to potential occupiers.“
